A romantic garden scene rendered in soft, layered brushwork. A cluster of cottages sits beneath a pale, swirling sky, while a small pavilion anchors the right of the composition, where a seated figure is just visible within the structure. The foreground is animated with loose foliage and scattered yellow blossoms, applied in brighter dabs that lift the otherwise muted palette of greens and blue-greys.

The handling is expressive rather than detailed, with forms dissolving slightly into atmosphere. The overall effect is gentle and painterly, balancing structure with movement.

Signed in monogram, lower right, by unknown artist.
