Green Landscape

A vintage oil on canvas landscape painting by Signe Lundqvist-Lanje (1912-2004).

A softly handled landscape centred on water and trees. Rounded forms of foliage frame a still river or pond, reflecting muted greens and pale sky tones. Beyond, gently rising fields and distant trees create depth without fuss, giving the scene a calm, balanced rhythm.

The palette is restrained — moss green, olive, soft blue-grey and warm earth — with visible brushstrokes lending texture and movement. The composition is informal but resolved, likely painted en plein air or from close observation.

Signed lower left. Presented in a well-proportioned, timeworn gilt frame.
