Botanical Compositions Trio

A set of three botanical studies by Anne Vilsbøll, created in mixed media on handmade paper.

Vilsbøll is known for her work with paper as a material in its own right, and that comes through clearly here. Each sheet has a softly irregular surface and deckled edges, giving a natural texture and depth that sits somewhere between painting and object.

The compositions depict flowers and leaves with a clear, decorative hand — direct in form but softened by the absorbency and character of the paper. Subtle variations in tone and surface create a quiet sense of movement across each piece.
