A beautifully calming modernist coastal painting by Swedish artist Gustav Arne, depicting the shoreline at Ålabodarna in soft sea-glass greens, sandy neutrals and pale turquoise.

With loose, expressive brushstrokes and an almost abstract simplicity, Arne captures the meeting of land and sea through broad shapes and subtle shifts of colour. The result is wonderfully peaceful, with a gentle sense of space and stillness.

An especially lovely painting for a bedroom, where its restful palette would sit beautifully alongside natural linens, warm woods and soft neutral tones.

Oil on panel by artist Gustav Arne (Sweden, 1925-2011) signed lower right.

Dimensions 46x37cm framed.
