An beautifully expressive Scandinavian landscape by Swedish painter Erik Törning, painted in loose, heavily worked strokes with a soft, atmospheric palette throughout. The cooler blue-greys and muted earth tones give the painting a calm, settled feel, balanced by touches of dusty green and faded pink through the foreground.

The limed wood frame and linen mount works beautifully with the painting itself, softening the overall look and giving it a more contemporary feel despite its age. It’s the kind of piece that sits especially well in a bedroom — gentle in tone, textural up close, and easy to live with.

A painterly, characterful work with a distinctly Nordic feel.

Dimensions: 57x77cm framed.

Condition: good vintage condition with a scratch on the bottom of the frame as shown in the photos.
